Information for Agents

Local agents of participating carriers are the key people who, by presenting the Small Business Plan to qualifying companies, are bringing many uninsured workers into the pool of covered people. This section provides information and links that will support agent sales.

2006 Agent Workshops

The second and final series of agent workshops were held in October- December 2006. Agents still needing CE verification should contact Brenda Hancock, WV Health Care Authority, 304.558.7000.

Marketing Activities

Promotion of the West Virginia Small Business Plan, through targeted broadcast and print vehicles, will continue through the second quarter of 2007. Agents will continue to be notified of specific run schedules in the Agent Newsletters.

Agent Sales Materials

Sales Brochure thumbnail The newer, full-color brochure with a CD was designed in response to agent requests for a presentation that could be used for large groups as well as potential new small business clients. The CD tells about the Small Business Plan through the stories of three small businesses and their employees.




Sales Brochure thumbnail The original sales brochure is also correct and viable. It fits into a standard business envelope and is useful for any potential small business clients.

 

 

There is no charge for additional copies of either brochure as long as supplies last. Contact Brenda Hancock, WV Health Care Authority, for more copies.

Trade Show Booth

The Small Business Plan trade show display is available for loan to agents. It’s a great “attention-getter” as well as being very easy to set up and ship. Contact Brenda Hancock at the West Virginia Health Care Authority to schedule use of the display.

There is no charge for use of the display, but agents are responsible for returning it to the Health Care Authority.

Small Business Plan logos

These logos can be used for print ads, internet web ads or any promotional materials that agents wish to develop for localized use. They are presented in a jpg format, which is suitable for a wide variety of formats.

There is no charge for use of the logo designs. Logos may be altered to include your specific business information.

Background Video Presentations

These video presentations provide background information on important issues impacting the delivery and cost of health care.

Agents may find this material useful for group presentations. Actual copies of both videos are available from Brenda Hancock at the West Virginia Health Care Authority.
